The funeral took place yesterday morning. The body which was contained in a polished oak coffin, with brass furniture, was first taken to Holy Trinity Church, where deceased was a sidesman. It was met at the door by the clergy (the Revs. W.M.CAMERON and H.B. BREW), the church warden (Capt. GREEN and Mr. A.G. PURNELL) and the following sidesman Messrs. Alderman E. GROVES, J.P., J.W. JACKSON, E.C. GOBLE, W.H. LONG, Arthur J. LOCKE, F.S.WATT, and C.F. HURST. The mourners were Mrs. COLLINS (widow), Miss HEATHCOTE, Miss FOX YOUNG, Capt. THOMAS, Capt. PAYNE, Mrs. F. HEATHCOTE, Col. WHEATLEY, R.A., Mr. ATHERLAY, Dr. GODFREY and Dr. BANKS.
Amongst those present in the church were Col. CRADOCK, J.P., Mr. C.B. WINDELER, the Misses PILKINGTON, Major Lowther CROFTON, Col. WALLIS, Major BARRY, Major W.S. WALFORD, Capt. BYNG, R.N., Capt. MARRIOTT, Capt. BURT, Mrs. CAMERON, Miss HEASLOP, Mrs. WORSLEY, Mr. WADE, Miss SMITH, Mr. E.R. CORRIE, J.P., Mr. H.G. NUTT, the Rev. J. SHEARME, Mr. SLINN, Mr. A. Percy JAMES, Mr. J. PARKES, Mr. G. JANAWAY, the Misses CARTER and PURCHAS, Lieut. Gartside TIPPING, Mrs. BANKS Mrs. SALE, and Mr. and Mrs. JOLLIFFE. At the Cemetery there also attended Col. WELLESLEY, Capt. H. ALEXANDER and Capt. CODDINGTON. The Vicar officiated, assisted by the Rev. H.B. BREW, who read the lesson.

POTTINGER YOUNG and the Misses OWEN, The Royal Victoria Yacht Club of which the deceased officer was a member, sent a silk burgee which was laid on his coffin. The Rev. D. Elliot YOUNG (cousin), Mr. F. HEATHCOTE, Gen. THOMAS, C.B., Col. CARMICHAEL YOUNG, R.E., and Capt. FORREST were prevented from attending by illness.
Mr. C. LANGDON carried out all the arrangements.
