David Putnam and brother, Caleb Putnam, left Sutton and settled in Croyden, NH. Croyden was settled by families from Grafton and Sutton. David was selectman for seven years 1781-1796 and several other town offices. He was a man of great industry, and of a rugged constitution. His health was as usual on the day of his death.
He served in the Rev army previous to his settling in Croyden.

He was a man of great industry, and of a rugged constitution. His health was as usual on the day of his death.
