Conflicting information regarding the first occurrence or date reported; in which the name Mary Richardson was recorded in the state of Massachusetts occurs or is recorded in Massachusetts; wife of Thomas Richardson Walter Goodwin Davis in his publication "Massachusetts and Maine families in the ancestry of Walter Goodwin Davis; Vol III"; states "Mary Richardson, who was admitted to the Charlestown Church in February of 1635/6 was the earliest record for the family of Thomas and Mary Richardson" [1]
However, Anderson; author of 'Great Migration: Immigrants to New England", 1634-1635, Volume VI; points out that the first known record of "Thomas Richardson in Massachusetts is 1637", and their first known child was born in 1638, shedding great doubt on the claim that the 1635/6 Mary Richardson of Charlestown was wife of Thomas[2]
Wyman, author of __________stated this only as a probability. [Wyman 812]. "The first appearance of Thomas Richardson was on 4 August 1637, when "Thomas Richeson Richardson] was granted the lot between Hewlett's & Richard White" [ChTR 30].
The eldest known child of Thomas Richardson was baptized at Charlestown on 17 November 1638 [ChChR 47]. Given the presence in Charlestown at this early date of the family of Ezekiel Richardson (1630, Charlestown) [GMB 3:1580-83], brother of Thomas, and the later arrival of another brother, Samuel, we cannot be certain that the Mary Richardson who was admitted to Charlestown church on 21 February 1635/6 was the wife of Thomas."

I don't see any valid basis on either profile for giving her a LNAB of Baldwin, nor for identifying her with the parents linked on the Baldwin-9611 profile. Thus, I think the two profiles should merge to Unknown-232991 and the parents should be disconnected.posted Nov 06, 2019 by Ellen Smith Deb (Lewis) DurhamCarol,
The book your are citing has nothing about 16th and 17th generations. The section on Michael Bacon (1608) and his wives gives no LNAB for Mary, widow of Thomas Richardson.
posted Apr 26, 2019 by Deb (Lewis) Durham Carol Baldwin PhD, RNPlease read the bolded statements in the Biography under Sixteenth Generation and Seventeenth Generation. They were specifically cited listing "Mary Baldwin was the widow of Thomas Richardson (pp 30-31) and "Sarah Richardson...(daughter of Thomas Richardson and Mary Baldwin..." "The Bacon Family 1066-1702" and sourced in Baldwin, Thomas W. in Bacon Genealogy: Michael Bacon of Dedham...1915, PP 29-31.posted Apr 26, 2019 by Carol Baldwin PhD, RN Anne Bpp 29-30 Accessed at Ancestry ($) says Michael Bacon m. Mary Richardson, widow of Thomas. It doesn't say anything about her being a Baldwin.posted Apr 26, 2019 by Anne B Carol Baldwin PhD, RNAnne, I just sent a follow-up email. I apologize for any harm. I spent weeks searching on Mary Baldwin, using as many sources as possible. I had left (or thought I left messages on G2G and comments). I've been prepping for Clean-a-thon England with Baldwin profiles and found orphans that already have profiles but not merged. Mary's father, Richard, is one of the orphans. I'm posting this note on Baldwin-9611 to discuss/defer to others as well. Under 16th generation in Bacon Genealogy (in Baldwin, 1915, pgs. 29-31) cites Mary Baldwin as wife of Thomas Richardson, then Bacon. I'll be working with the Sandringham this weekend and will ask England to see if birth/marriage can be found. Again, apologize for any irritations. Thank you, Carolposted Apr 25, 2019 by Carol Baldwin PhD, RN Anne BCarol, nowhere in the sources referenced does it mention that her maiden name was Baldwin. This profile needs to be disconnected from these husbands.posted Apr 25, 2019 by Anne B Carol Baldwin PhD, RNMary Baldwin-9611 was married to 1) Thomas Richardson-1532 and 2) Michael Bacon-563. Mary was listed as Unknown-232991 in both of her husbands' profiles Her LNAB is changed to Baldwin. Mary (Baldwin) and Thomas Richardson are part of the PMG project. Mary and Thomas' eldest child, Jane, was born around 1632 in England suggesting that Mary and Thomas were married about 1630 (she would have been about 18). Daughters Mary and Sarah were born in Charlestown, MA and the remaining children were born in Woburn, MA. I am Mary and Thomas' 8th GG niece. Thomas' brother Ezekiel and wife Susanna (Bradford) Baldwin came to Massachusetts with Winthrop's Fleet in 1630. They are my 8th GGPs. Thank you! Carol Baldwin-3428posted Apr 25, 2019 by Carol Baldwin PhD, RN Jillaine SmithIn response to Antoine: Anderson points out that Thomas doesn't show up for a year and a half later than the Mary Richeson church admission and his oldest child born another year after that. Eldest children typically born within a year of marriage. Also men typically recorded in records shortly after their arrival. This and other evidence Anderson mentions casts sufficient doubt that the early Mary can't be confirmed as Thomas' wife.
In response to Carol Baldwin info, without seeing the sources she used, we have to go with Anderson.

I came across your updating on Thomas Richardson V (1608-1651) and found that you need information on his wife. She was
Mary Margaret Baldwin b. 1612 Hull, Yorkshire, England d. 19 May 1670 Woburn, Middlesex, MA Married 4 March 1635 in Woburn, Middlesex, MA
Mary Baldwin's parents were Richard Baldwin and Joane Blythe. I cannot locate their information as yet.
She married a 2nd time: Michael Bacon b. 1608 Winston, Suffolk, England d. 4 July 1688 Woburn, Middlesex, MA
Mary Baldwin was Michael Bacon's 2nd wife. His first wife was Mary Jobo (1607-1655) and they were married 31 August 1634 in Winston, Suffolk, England.
I will let you handle this
posted Jun 30, 2017 by George KelloggAntoine Boisvert"shedding great doubt on the claim that the 1635/6 Mary Richardson of Charlestown was wife of Thomas:" This seems awfully harsh. You need to be clearer about why the 1637/8 evidence invalidates the the 1635/6 if you are going to use such language. It isn't obvious to this reader that the two pieces of evidence are at odds at all. Explanation would be helpful.posted Feb 06, 2017 by Antoine Boisvert
