Individual Details
Henry Baker
(17 Nov 1827 - 1905)
Henry and Paula Baker were parents of Nancy Baker who married Harvey Morgan. Henry was born in Kentucky and Paula in Virginia. They lived in Tazewell, Virginia where their 3 older children were born. (1849-1856) They moved to Kentucky where Joseph was born in 1859 and probably Nancy met her husband Harvey Morgan there. Both families came west together stopping in Ohio 1st where each family had one child born. ( Scotio,OH 1861-65). Eventually they made their way to MN, Brockway Township, in NE Stearns Co. where they farmed.(1868) They arrived in MN abt 1868. In 1870 they were in Holding Twp, Stearns Co, both Families living as neighbors and farming.
Henry's wife is listed as Paula in 1870 and Mary in 1880 but ages and state born are the same. Maybe same person or Paula died in 1870's and he remarried. Henry's age of 52 in 1870 may have been too old. Listed as 56 in 1880 - would make birth abt 1824.
