William "Bud" Putnam, born May 13, 1922, in Coeur d'Alene, passed away April 29, 2011, due to an extended ilness. He was the son of Floyd and Selma Putnam. Bud married Bonnie Gummon July 3, 1942. He was a master carpenter and worked for many years in the sawmill as a head filer. He loved snowmobiling, bike riding, camping and spending winters down south with his wife and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bonnie; a brother, Robert; a sister, Adah; three daughters, Pam (Bob) Cochrane of Cataldo, Diane (Larry) Brown of Eugene, Ore., and Darlene (John) Wing of Glasgow, Mont.; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud is preceded in death by his son, William Edward Putnam; brothers, Eugene, Wes, Phillip, Floyd and Paul and two grandsons, Dwayne Cochrane and Valention Cassele.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Forest Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene. ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, Coeur d'Alene, is in care of the arrangements.
