Jean Morris McDowell was the first wife of John L Muller, Sr. She was the daughter of Samuel and Jean McDowell of Old Orchard Farm in Devon, born in 1907. She grew up in the Ardmore-Gladwyne area. She was an accomplished horsewoman. She and her sister Eleanor, were often featured with a picture in the newspaper with their horses or dogs. Jean was listed in the Debutantes List of 1925-26. She married John L Muller on 7 Jan 1933. They were divorced by June 1938 when he married his second wife, Frances Payne Kerr.
Jean married second to Norman P Frankenfield of Ardmore, PA.
Bobbie said she drank herself to death after the divorce and it may well be as she died 19 Jan 1942. Jean McDowell Muller Frankenfield is buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery, PA.
