Harry V Maxwell, her first husband, was from Trenton, He was associated with his father in the company, R.C. Maxwell & Co.
Bothe the Morrison family from Pittsburgh and the Maxwell family from Trenton long had summer residences at Spring Park, NJ. And the children grew up together. The romance of Gail and Harry was one of several years and it was expected by their friends that it would culminate in a wedding. They surpeised everyone, though, by eloping. There were no parental objections to them getting married. It is thought they just wanted to escape the conventional wedding trappings.

At Home of Her Parents
Spring Lake - The marriage of Mrs. Gale Morrison Maxwell, Pitney Avenue, daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Morrison, Lorraine Avenue, to Lewis Sayre Kerr, jk, of Spring Lake and New York, son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Sayre Kerr, took place at 12:30 o'clock today at the home of the bride's [arents. The Rev Dr A. R. Robinson, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Pa. performed the ceremony.
Samuel Kerr, Trenton, was his brother's best man. A reception and wedding breakfast for the immediate familtes followed the ceremony.
Mr and Mrs Kerr, Jr, will fly to Bermuda Wednesday in the Pan-American Clipper. On their return, after Dec 1, they will make their home on itney Avenue, Spring Lake.
Mr Kerr, a graduate of Williams College, Massachusetts, is a member of the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr Kerr entertained a number of friends at a bachelor's dinner at Eggimann's tavern, Spring Lake Heights, when Stewart Rhodes, also of Spring Lake, acted as toastmaster. The guesta included Mr Kerr, Sr, F F Schook, jr, Dr L.F.Albright, Robert Maxwell, P Stanley Brown, Councilman Harold Clark, Councilman Frederic L Duggan, Police Chief Russell Hurden, Thomas Morrison, jr, Adolph Snyder, Spring Lake.

Spring Lake - Mrs Gail Morrison Kerr died Tuesday at her home, 52 Pitney Ave. Her father, the late Thomas Morrison, was a partner of Andrew Carnegie and was on the board of directors of the United States Steel Co.
She was widow of Lewis S Kerr, Jr. She was born in Pittsburgh.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Bessie Morrison McKelvey, Pittsburgh.
