Individual Details
William Palmer , Sr.
(Abt 1581 - Nov 1637)
He came over on the Fortune in 1621.
William Palmer came to America in 1621 aboard the 'Fortune', together with his son William; resided in Plymouth, MA; moved
to Duxbury, MA. His wife, Frances, came in the next ship, the 'Ann', in 1623.
Will mentions: granddaughter Rebecca; grandson Moses Rowley; Stephen Tracy. (NEHGR vol.35p.4; 1850)
This William Palmer is not the son of Sir John Palmer of Parham, Somerset, England. The bishop's transcript had been
previously misread. Instead of reading that William was baptized on 18 April 1585, it should have been read as William was
buried on 18 April 1585.

"Old Palmer" was one of the three men said to have been drunk there, and Widow Palmer and Widow Palmer's man were two of the witnesses, suggesting that the widow may have blamed Hopkins for allowing her husband to drink too much.
