On 17 Aug 2021 Gale Struthers and I explored four cemeteries near Augusta, Maine, while on a Cerven family vacation.
Cross Hill Cemetery - Looking for and found Eunice Gardner Lord. She was the wife of William Lord. Eunice died in 1867 and was buried near her brother, Reuden Gardner's family. William went west to Minnesota with some of his children and died and buried in Wright County. Their daughter RoseAnn married Alfred Stuart.
Chadwick Hill Cemetery - We found the parents of Alfred Stuart, Joseph and Susan Chadwick Stuart. We found their gravestones in Chadwick Hill Cemetery, China, ME. Also, in that cemetery were the James Chadwick family, Roseann's grandparents. I think her parents were buried there, too, but I didn't realize it at the time. This was later confirmed on FAG.
Rest Haven Cemetery - Next we went to Rest Haven Cemetery down the road. We looked for Solomon and Huldah Hatch. But we didn't find any Hatches in this cemetery. There were many unreadable stones. FAG says that Solomon and Huldah Andrwews Hatch are buried in Resthaven Cemetery but they do not have photos of the stones in FAG.
Maple Grove Cemetery - Next we went to Maple Grove Cemetery in Randall, ME and found Charles and Eleanor Kinsman. They are the parents of Hannah Kinsman who married Solomon Hatch and moved to Minnesota.
