Mary Josephine "Mary Jo" McGerty

Mary Jo McGerty grew up in Minneapolis and attended St. Benedict's High School (St. Joe) and received a nursing degree at the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing. She married Jeff Hennes of Richmond and they raised four daughters in St. Cloud, MN. The eldest, Judith died in 1964 of heart failure while attending college at St. Benedict's. Mary Jo's grave site now includes her husband Jeff and within 5 yards of daughter Judy, and Jeff's son-in law's brother and Mother (Jeff and Marilyn Becker). Mary Jo was very active in Girl Scouts in the St. Cloud area.
