Acknowledged in Grayson, Aug Court 1810, by Andrew Baker.
[ACC's note: This and the preceding deed give a good indication of
when Rev. Andrew moved to Washington Co., VA. The Joseph and John
Baker mentioned in this deed were presumably Rev. Andrew's sons Joseph
and John. His son Joseph eventually settled in Hawkins Co., TN (now
Hancock Co.). His son John died in Ashe Co., NC. John's first wife,
Martha/Patsy Jones, was a sister of Elijah's wife, Sarah Jones.]

Samuel Baker bound himself to make a deed. In 1868, Isaac (x) Baker
assigned the "within bond" to John Rupe. The title bond proved June
term 1870.
[ACC's note: My theory is that the Elijah who witnessed this deed was
Elijah s/o Rev. Andrew, and that Samuel and Isaac were his sons. Just
a
theory! Note that the other witness was Robert Parsons, Samuel's
father-in-law. This is the only deed mentioning an Isaac Baker that I
have found in Ashe or Grayson.]
