The info I have on Rev. Andrew Baker and his children comes
from Freda Sims Nelson 1975. It states that the Rev. Andrew
Baker b. 1749 Grayson Co. VA. d. Sep. 24 1815 Lee County, VA.
has a son Andrew Baker b. Feb. 18, 1777, this date come from the
family Bible.
In the same file I have that a Henry Baker b. Aug.
14, 1774 Washington Co. VA. s/o Rev. Andrew Baker
was the father of a Andrew Baker b. 1799 Washington CO, VA.

Co. VA. by Henry's father Rev. Andrew Baker. Mary (Mercy) Marcia
Tilson. b. 1772 on S.
Fork of Holston River, St. Clair Botton, d. Aug. 6, 1838 Knightstown,
Indiana.
When Marcia, the youngest child was 3 weeks old, Henry died,
when she was about 4 yrs old, her Mercy sold heir farm
in Va, and moved the family to Tenn. near Erwin.
This was in 1815. They stayed there until about 1821, when the man
who had bought the farm in Va. failed, so Mercy accepted the farm
back and they moved back. While in Tenn. the two older brothers had
married. By 1826 all the 3 older brothers had moved to East Tenn.
James about 17 years old went to live with an Uncle, across the Blue
Ridge Mt. about 75 miles from home. The older sisters had also
married
and Mercy and dau. Marcia were left alone. They went to E. Tenn. to
visit with the sons. Then decided to move with them to Wayne Co.,
Ind.
leaving the Sister Elizabeth in Tenn. The sister Jane and husband---
Tinker and children had remained on the farm in VA.
According to this, Henry Baker s/o Rev. Andrew Baker is the father of
Andrew Baker who married 1st Nancy Briant, 2nd Dianna Bateman.
