Wallace Payne, son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Payne of this city, has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the regular army after completing a two month course of training at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He is visiting here now at the home of his parents, but will leave soon for Kansas City to act as a military instructor of selected men at the Ray school for auto mechanics. The fact that he had previous military experience was benefitial to Mr. Payne.
