LONSDALE--(Special)--Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Tuma, 76 who passed away Friday, Feb. 1 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Sirek, following a lingering illness, were held Monday, Feb. 4, at 9:30 a. m., from the Immaculate Conception church here with the Rev. C. C. Jirik officiating. Interment was in Calvary cemetery and pallbearers were Edwin Svoboda, Francis Tuma, Emil Tuma, Joseph Tuma, Leonard Tuma and Edward Sirek, all grandsons of the deceased. The deceased was born October 21, 1876 at New Prague and on May 31, 1893 she was united in marriage to Thomas Tuma at New Prague. Her husband passed away Nov. 10, 1938. The deceased was a member of the Rosary Society. She is survived by eight children, Joseph, John, Thomas, Mrs. Mary Sirek of Lonsdale, Mrs. Frank Svoboda of New Prague and Sister M. Emiline of Dickinson, N. D.; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John F. Pumper of Lonsdale and Mrs. Mary Vlazny of Monona, Iowa and one brother, John Skluzacek of New Prague. Besides her husband, six children and three sisters preceded her in death. Relatives and friends from away at the funeral were Pvt. Francis Tuma of Camp Gordon, Georgia; Pvt. Lloyd Ambrose of Arkansas and Sister M. Emiline of Dickinson, N. D.
