Florence KEENS

(30 June 1880 - 16 February 1956)

Information from Herbert Keens (Son of William Keens) is that Florence went to France before the second world war and was never heard from again.
Oral history from Herbert Keens is Florence became a Nun after working as a Nanny in Putney, England

From Janet Rose: I was unaware of Florence being a nun, When she visited us in the 50's I think she must have left the order as she did not wear a habit and her hair was very long

From Janet Keens:
Her father (Joseph) married outside the R.C. Religion and was cut-off by his family. Florence was brought up by 2 Aunts. She took a B.A. degree in French. She spent some of the war in a concentration camp in France. My father (George) made contact with her through the red Cross. She died in France in 1956 - I have a death certificate
