Per Uncle Bob Saunders in a partial obituary he wrote that she was married in Lampasas, Texas.The marriage is recorded in the Lampasas Co., TX Marriage Record D, page 199. The original Marriage License and Certificate is in the possesion of Sherry Lawrence.
Other family history gives the marriage place as the home of R.G. and Julia Ann Hampton at Slater (King), Coryell County, Texas.

The 1920 Coryell Co. U.S. Federal Census, page 4B, Precinct 1, N. 10th Street shows her living with her husband Tom Saunders and their children, Jim and Hazel and nephew Ed Baker Powell. Her occupation is listed as a saleslady for a retail dry goods store.Event-Misc
At the probate of her parents will which was filed for probate on 12-7-1923 after her mother's death on 6-25-1921 she inherited 1/3 of 700 acres and $350. This land remained in her father's control until his death on 1-16-1928 and was later inherited by her son James Riley Saunders and became the nucleus for his large ranch.Census
She is listed as Mary E., age 59, living with her husband, Tom A. Vol. 129, page 629-630 Coryell County Deed Records:On 6-1-1938, Mrs. T.A. Saunders, a widow, Minnie Saunders, a widow, Hazel and L.E. Kincannon of Stephens Co., OK, for $10, assumed the balance of a $3000 loan due to the Federal Land Bank of Houston made by Jim R. Saunders to purchase two tracts of the P. Lopez Survey, a 172 acre tract and a 131 acre tract. This land was originally purchased by T.A. Saunders on 8-25-1928.
