By 1654 William and Grace had moved to Calvert Co., MD. He also claimed land in Baltimore and Anne Arundel for transporting his son William, Jr. and 30 other people from New Norfolk Co., VA. At this time Puritans were being encouraged to move to MD which was more religiously tolerant.Event-Misc
He sold his MD property except his home plantation in the 1660's and he and Grace moved back to England.Will
In his will he left Grace, his wife, and Elizabeth, his daughter, equal parts of his money and house hold goods in England, his part interest in all his ships and their profit, the goods on the ship Richard & Martha, and 500 pounds in bonds. Grace and his children, Elizabeth and William, were to divide equally his Maryland household goods. William, his son, was to receive his MD home plantation as well as other lands.Endnotes
