Grace and her husband, William Parker, moved to MD and settled in Calvert Co., MD although the also owned land in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties. William claimed land for transporting his son William, Jr. and 30 other people to MD. At the time, Puritans were encouraged to move to the more religiously tolerant state of MD.Event-Misc
Grace and William moved back to England in the 1660's after selling all their MD property except their home plantation.Event-Misc
When her husband, William Parker, died about 7-24-1673 Grace was named in his will to recieve the following: half of his money and household goods in England, his part interest in all his ships and their profit, and the goods on board the ship, Richard & Martha, and 500 pounds in bonds. She also received one third of his MD household goods.Event-Misc
Grace's parents are unknown but they may have been related to Richard Bennett, Jr., the first Puritan governor of Virginia, whom she named as a relative on a land transaction in England on 10-14-1697.Will
In her will she distributes her estate to her granddaughter, Elizabeth Buckerfield, son Francis Mauldin, daughter Margaret Evans, daughter, Grace Mitchell, and daughter, Elizabeth Buckerfield whom she made sole Executrix of her estate. She named Thomas Parker and Joseph Haycock as overseers and trustees of her estate. She indicated that her estate included properties in England, Maryland, and "els where beyond the seas".Her will was probated 2-17-1700.
Burial
In her will she asks to be buried near to her husband (Edward Lloyd was her last husband but her husband William Parker also died in England) in White Chapel Church.Endnotes
