Individual Details

Joseph William Pickens

(31 Aug 1794 - 28 Jan 1868)

Fought in the War of 1812 - it is thought that was when he first came through Madison County, AL and stopped at the Brazelton's for water where he was charmed by the young Selina. He came back after the War and married her.

There is apparently no proof of his middle name - all records simply say Joseph Pickens.
