1. To my beloved son WILLIAM L. MOREY, or to his children if he should die before me, my home residence in Clinton, Vermillion County, IN. He shall pay my other 2 children - JOHN BOGART and FRANK MOREY WHITE - 1/2 of the difference between $4000 and 1/3 the value of my whole estate. My home residence shall be valued at $4000.
2. I give the residue of my estate to my beloved son JOHN H. BOGART and my beloved daughter FRANK MOREY WHITE in equal shares.

HER FATHER RODE HORSE TO VINCENNES TO ENTER GOVERNMENT
LAND NORTH OF CLINTON
Mrs. Sarah I. Morey, who sustained a fracture of a femur when she fell at the base of a stairway at the home of her son, W.L. Morey, last week, died as a result of the shock, early Wednesday morning. Mrs. Morey was born March 22, 1821, and was therefore more than 88 years of age. She was the oldest woman in Clinton and one of the real pioneers of the city and county. She was a member of a large family of children born to Mr and Mrs J. L. Wishard, in Kentucky, and they came to Clinton when Mrs. Morey was nine years old. Her father rode horseback to Vincennes to enter government land, in the Center neighborhood, and with the exception of a couple of years in Kankakee, Ill., the aged lady had lived here continuously, therefore witnessing the growth of Clinton from its very beginning.
She was a very active member of the Methodist church as long as able to attend church services. Rev. David Handley, of Frankfort, IN, pastor of the Clinton church about 40 years ago, and again about 20 years ago, will come to preach the funeral, which will be held from the home at 2 p.m., today.
Mrs. Morey was twice married - her first husband being Henry Bogart, by whom she was the mother of Dr. J. H. Bogart, of Clinton, and another son, who died in infancy. Her first husband died while she was yet a comparatively young woman, and she was later married to Benjamin F. Morey. The children of this union were W. L. Morey, and his sister, Mrs. Frank White, who died as a result of an accidental burning, about a year ago. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.
Her brother, J. H. Wishard, of Augusta, KS, who is now an octogenarian, is
the only other member of her immediate family surviving. Mrs. Susan Wishard, a sister, died at Greenwood, Ind., about two months ago. The venerable mother of W. L. Morey was the last remaining resident of Clinton who was among the seventeen pioneers of the city whom Mr. Morey mentioned in his little booklet of reminiscence published.
