BLYTHEVILLE -- Beulah Ardavene Hays, 96, of Blytheville died Friday, April 29, at Beverly Health Care Manor at Rogers.
Born at Pittsburg, Kan., she was a retired registered nurse and a longtime Blytheville resident. She was a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist School of Nursing and served as a Red Cross nurse. She was a member of the GSWC Women's Club of Blytheville, the Garden Club, Christian Women's Fellowship and First Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Sissie Hays Black of Bentonville; four granddaughters, Marianne Hays, Shari Ruth Hays, Susan Black Garza and Karen Black Frederick; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Russell Hays; one son, Benny R. Hays Jr.; her parents, Charles Harmon and Beulah Elizabeth Phillps May; four sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church of Blytheville, with Dr. Tommy Joe Carney officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, the Mississippi County Union Mission or the Blytheville Women's Club.

Blytheville -- Beulah Ardavene Hays, 96, retired registered nurse, died Friday in Rogers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Blytheville First Christian Church, where she was a member, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Cobb Funeral Home has charge. She was a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist School of Nursing and a member of GSWC Women's Club, Garden Club and Christian Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Hays, the widow of Bennie Russell Hays, leaves a daughter, Sissie Hays Black of Bentonville, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
