Individual Details

John Ewing

(20 Jun 1761 - May 1833)

John and Polly were first Cousins

"The Kentucky Explorer" of Sept 1998, p.76 gives his name as John Ewing as do Ewing Researchers. "Men Whom I Remember" had his name as James. The "Ewing Genealogy" stated the Will of Charles Ewing named sons Charles, William, Robert, Samuel, George, David & Caleb; daughter were Mary & Martha - does not name either a John or James.
The same book also states that John Ewing was a son of George Ewing.

There was obviously both a James and a John Ewing, and there was more than one John Ewing that lived in Logan Co.
