Goodall and Lorina were "half cousins once removed". Goodall's mother Elizabeth's father was Kinchen, son of Joseph & Holly Pippin. Lorina's father was Pinkney, youngest son of Joseph & his second wife Margaret Dodson. This relationship is stated in error in John Pippin: A New Beginning in Maryland.
