Individual Details

I did not find Andrew in 1880, unless this is the man. His brother John was living in Greene County that year, but in a different Township. Really doesn't seem to fit. I did receive the information that Andrew was a physician but the 1900 census doesn't seem to bear this out.

Living with the family of of Wm. C. Long., was A. J. Brooks, age 30 [he would have been closer to age 23] a physician, b. in NC [he wasn't - he was born in MO] Parents born NC.

1900 Census. Ozark Twp, Webster Co MO Hh 123
Andrew J. Brooks, b. Sep 1856. Age 43, married 18 years. Born MO, parents b. NC, a druggist
Martha A., wife, b. May 1855, age 45. Has two children. Born NC as were her parents.
Harold E., son, b. Apr 1883, age 17.
Andrew J., son, b. May 1892, age 8.
They had a female "servant" and a young male school teacher boarding with them.
