Lydia Perkins

( - )

I am not at all sure these are Mary's parents - all references seem to have come from the Ancestral File. However, the given name Nowell/Noel used in subsequent generations seems to make it definite that Mary's surname must have been Nowell.

Certainly Nicholas Perkins had a daughter named Lydia:
Oct. 1658 "I Richard Parker having exchanged one Cowe called Rose which belongeth to Elizabeth ye orphan of Nicholas Perkins dec'd: also unto Lydia Perkins, one heifer of about two years & a half old named Coal. Test: Wm. Fisher." [Charles City Co. Records 1655-65 pg 149]

The following Lydia Nowell would seem to have been in James City County about the time that Robert & Mary Burton were getting married in Henrico. Of course, she could be a completely different Lydia.
