#27962 1906. Louis Cathcher (sic) and 5 children. of Evansville, Ark. Admitted. Nephew of 4591; claims thru the same source.
On Fold3.com is the Cherokee Nation enrollment card for Louis Catcher. #875. Flint District. He was listed as 3/4 Blood; his father Charles Catcher. Name of mother Sallie Catcher. Both of Flint District. Leona Catcher is a Non-Citizen (not Indian). Louis Catcher first enrolled in 1880. Two daughters are listed - Sarah age 5 and Emma age 2, both 3/8 Blood. Sarah had been enrolled first in 1896 - no date for Emma. Noted that his name is spelled elsewhere as Lewis Catcher.
Card is stamped with the date Jul 31 1900.
Ancestry tree given Sarah's mother as Leona Swift, b. about 1877 in IN, died 13 Sep 1962
Jackson Cookinghead of Stilwell, OK, age 43 and Mrs. Sarah Catcher, also of Stilwell, age 28, applied for marriage license in Crawford Co, AR, 7 Nov 1924 [looks like 1927, but other documents on the page reveal it should be 1924]. J. J. Simmon, JP, married them on the same day.
