Said to have aided in the Revolution An SAR Application states that his son Jacob applied for a pension 24 Sep 1832 from Astabula Co, Ohio, age 72, and that Jacob had served as a substitute both for his father Jesse, and his brother Ahab. He claimed he fought so his family could raise provision.
