I have seen an online database that gives the parents of Richmond & Betsey Pearson as Charles & Rebecca Walton Pearson of New Kent Co. This is highly unlikely as no such Richmond was mentioned in the Will of Charles Pearson:
A copy of the will of Charles Pearson is filed in the following Halifax Co., VA Chancery Case - his wife was not even named as Rebecca.

In the name of God amen, I Charles Pearson of the County of James City and Parish of St. Peters being very sick and weak but in perfect mind & memory thanks be to God for the same do destitute (sic) and ordain this my last will and testament and first I bequeath my sole (sic) to God that gave it and my Body to be buried at the discretion of my Executors in a certain and shore (sic) hope of a resurrection at the last day and after any just debts and funeral charges are paid I give and dispose of my Estate in manner as followeth. Item. I give and bequeath to my Son Henry the Land and plantation whereon he now lives whereof fifty acres given him before by Deed with all my other Land joining except one hundred acres with the Plantation whereon I now live to him and his Heirs forever and after his Mother's death one Neagro (sic) man named Tomas and the feather bed I now lie on with the furniture & my wearing apparrell (sic). Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth twenty Pounds Current money and one Cow and Calf and one Chest. Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Annis after her Mother's Death one neagro (sic) girl Sall to her and her Heirs. Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Judah after her Mother's Death one Negro Boy named Sam to her and her Heirs. Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Hanah after her mother's Death one negro woman named Agge to her and her Heirs also ten pounds current money. Item. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Susannah after her mother's Death one negro woman named Luce and all her Increase to her and her Heirs. Item. I give and bequeath to my Grandson Charles Pearson after his GrandMother's Death the Land and plantation I now live on with one hundred acres also one neagro (sic) man James to him and his Heirs also one Bed & furniture also one pot one frying pan one sow & pigs and one yong (sic) mare saddle and bridle. Item. I give & bequeath to my Grandson Thos. Mathis one small chest. Item. I give to my Grandson Joseph Pearson one yong (sic) Heffer (sic). Item my will and Desire is that my loving wife Hannah Pearson may have the full use and property of the Plantation with one hundred acres of Land I now live on with all my Slaves & personal estate during her natural Life and after her dec. the aforementioned return to the persons. Allso (sic) my Desire is that all the my Estate not mentioned may be equally divided between all my Children after my wife's desest (sic). Also my Desire is my Estate may not be appraed (sic). Allso (sic) I Destitute (sic) and appoint my loving wife Hannah Pearson my Exer with my Son Henry Exer of this my last will and Testament and I revoke all former wills as witness my Hand and seal this twentyth (sic) day of September one thousand seven hundred & sixty one.
