Aug. 10, 1829. Reg. Jan. 14, 1830. Deed of Trust. John Ellis is indebted to Alexander Shemwell and Jane Stokes with William Stokes as their security along with land on the Yadkin River adj. James Ellis and two negroes named Ben, one aged about 50 and the other about 14 years. The wife of John Ellis joins him in this trust. (Note: He married Polly Bradshaw, 14 Nov. 1809 with Wm. Haden as the bondsman.) Wit: Obh. M. Smith.)
