Robert Russell Formerly Lived in Hopkins county
Special to The News
Cumby, Hopkins Co, Texas, June 16 - Robert H. Russell, who met with such a tragic death in the Deere Building in Dallas last Saturday was born in the Oakland or Prim Hill community in Hopkins County in 1883, but later his parents moved to Sulphur Springs, where he was reared to maturity. He was a grandson of the late Dr. R. C. Holderness, who was one of the leading physicians of this county for more than forty years.
Texas Death Certificate #1077
Dallas, Dallas Co, TX. Deere Building.
Robert Henry Russell, residence 116 S. Brighton
Robert was born 22 Jan 1883 and died 10 Jun 1922, age 39y 4m 18d. He was a life insurance salesman and married.
There was an Inquest on June 10th. He was killed by a fall through the skylight shaft and died instantly. The death was ruled an accident. Mrs. R. H. Russell was in the informant.
The certificate says he was removed to Van Buren, Arkansas for burial, but I have found no cemetery record there and that seems to be a rather unlikely place.
