Joseph Porter's inventory was taken at Windsor on 29 Jan, 1742, by Hezekiah Porter and Joseph Phelps.
Will dated 20 Apr 1734. To wife Hannah 1/3 part of housing and lands. Son Joseph Porter, my lower lot in the meadow that I bought of my brother Nathaniel Porter and also the upper lot, etc. and half of rights in various divisions. He is to pay to daughters Hannah and Mehetabell equal part with son Nathaniel. Son Nathaniel Porter, the home lot on which I dwell, etc. half of rights; paying to Hannah and Mehetabell his equal part with son Josephy. To daughter Hannah Watson and daughter Mehetabell Lyman. Two sons Joseph and Nathaniel, to be executors.
6 Apr 1742. Exhibted in Court by Joseph & Nathaniel Porter. Proven & ordered recorded.
3 May 1743. Widow Hannah Porter, relict of Joseph Porter, late of Windsor, dec'd, moved to this Court that her right of dower may be set out to her. Joshua Wolcott Jr., Capt Joseph Loomis and Moses Loomis of Windsor, to be distributors.
