GRAHAM - Mr. G. Marvin Montgomery, 70, of 3624 Boy Wood Rd., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Rick Moser, Pastor of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and the Rev. Aubern Lore, Retired Minister of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
A native of Carroll County, Va., he was the son of the late William Henry Harrison Montgomery and the late Lucy Valerie Stillwell Montgomery. He was a retired Engineer from Hughes Aircraft after 32 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was predeceased by a son, Mr. Jeffrey Kemp Montgomery; sisters, Sena M. Martin, Patricia M. Foster; brother, Lonnie Montgomery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Anne Wood Montgomery of the home; daughter, Mrs. Valerie Holt Montgomery McRoberts of Placentia, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Imogene M. Alderman of Tustin, Calif.; Mrs. Canary M. Grimsley of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Mr. Brooks Montgomery of Hillsville, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham. Other times, they will be at the residence.
