Thomas appears to have gone to Georgia with his brother James, but didn't settle there.

Quite likely Thomas Holderness that witnessed is James' brother.

12 Sep 1833. Robert Holderness was appointed administrator of Thomas Holderness dec'd. Written in above "good and chattles" is the word "Specialty". Richard Jones and Anderson Willes/Mills were his security in the amount of $1500. On the fold of the outside is also written "Adm. Bond, Special"
10 Oct 1833. Emanuel Watlington was appointed administrator of Thomas Holderness, dec'd. Security with Ibzan Rice and Christopher [signed as C. W.] Brooks in the amount of $2000. Inventory of the property of Thomas Holderness was taken the same day and presented to the January Court, 1834. Thomas' estate consisted of 4 horses, wagon & harness, saddle bags, saddle & 2 bridles, and a barrell of whiskey. He also had $200 due from Elijah Graves. The Sale was held on 11 Oct 1833 - Elizabeth Holderness his sister-in-law bought one of the horses, the wagon & harness, the saddle bags, and the saddle blankets. Total of the sale was $307.60

6 Jan 1834 - Abner Mills is appointed administrator of Robert Holderness. Security with Thomas Graves & Thomas D. Johnson for $10, 000. However, it's possible Robert had died immediately after being appointed Admin. for Thomas since Elizabeth is purchasing at Thomas' estate sale.

p.554 Account current of Robert Holderness, dec'd by Abner Mills, adm. Cash received of E. Watlington for keeping Thos. Holderness' horses at Robert's house until his death. Paid widow for keeping negroes. Paid Reuben C. Trayhan for coffin - $5. Thomas W. Graves for crying sale; John Kerr atty fee; paid widow's allowance; paid Eliza Holderness widow, her part of balance, being one child's part.
p.556 11 Jan 1836 Emanuel Watlington presented the account current of the estate of Thomas Holderness. Bonds on Elijah Graves, Henry F. Smith, John Lyon. Paid vouchers of Abner Niles, John H. Graves, John Kerr Jr., Paul Watlington.

Said to have died without issue in Holderness book. Caswell County compiled record books by Katherine Kerr Kendall give several references to a Thomas Holderness. The Caswell Co NC Will Book M, p.378 shows his estate sale in January 1834 after his death. He appeared to have no heirs, other than his brother Robert who died a month after. The Guardian Accounts, Book 3, p.303 shows that Abner Miles, guardian of the children of Robert Holderness, received goods from the Thomas Holderness estate on their behalf.
