In 1840, "Gabriel Turner is listed as head of a household; U. S. Census, Boone County, Missouri, page 112" His household consisted of:
one male of 20 - 30 years of age,
one male of 30 - 40 years of age.

Gabriel married Mary Haden on 7 November 1847, at Boone County, Missouri. "Boone County, Missouri Marriages (1820-1848) as Contained in the Original Marriage Books A and B, p. 345."

Administration was granted for the estate of Gabriel Turner on 25 November 1864 at Boone County, Missouri. The administrator was Wm. L. Victor, and full settlement was made June 8, 1868. "Mrs. E. E. Evans and Mrs. J. Frank Thompson, Wills and Administration of Boone County 1821-1870 (Columbia, Missouri: Privately printed, 1933), page 86,. Gabriel Turner # 2043. Gabriel's heirs were Mary Turner, widow; Laura Bell Turner (9 years Jan. next), Thomas B. Turner (6 years), Robert E. Turner (1 year old) infant, all of Boone County, Missouri.
