Mrs. Frances Comstock Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Frances Comstock, 52 East River Rd died instantly Saturday of a cerebral hemorrhage about 4 pm while watching the Kent State University - Bowling Green football game at Kent.
A daughter, Frances Ann, is a majorette in the Kent University Band.
A doctor was summoned from the crowd when Mrs. Comstock collapsed and pronounced her dead.
She was born November 16, 1901, in Benton, Ark., the daughter of Daniel Horsley and the late Minnie Robinson Horsley. Formerly of Warren, she had resided in Newton Falls 17 years and was a member of the Methodist Church, Leading Star Chapter 79, Order of Eastern Star and Wednesday Literary Club there.
Besides her daughter Frances, a student at Kent State,Mrs. Comstock is survived by her father of Pawhuska, Okla.; her husband Rudy S. Comstoc Sr.; another daughter, Nancy Lee, at home, and a son, Rudy Jr., a student at Ohio State University.
Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at the James Funeral Home, Newton Falls, in charge of the Rev. Mr. H. T. Wintermute. Burial was in the Newton Falls Cemetery.
