James Edward Dayton, 72, died Saturday at Research Hospital in Kansas City. Born April 21, 1914 in Chillicothe, he was a son of Charles R. and Edna M. Gay Dayton. He was retired from the Chillicothe Street Department.
Surviving are three brothers, Glen, of the home; Larry, Chillicothe, and Russell, Cameron; four sisters, Nora Shearer and Mary Crookshanks, Chillicothe; Garnett Whitacre, Kidder, Emma Ponclet, Shawnee Mission, Kans. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and three sisters,
