Birth year given as 1837 in the papers of Pat Reid, which seems to be a typo. 1857 fits better!


Found in my files (I think this is copied from one of the KY History anthologies. p.174 "Frank C. Haden. All on page from Warren County.] ...leaned the miller's trade at Cedar Grove Mills....came to Bowling Green, and engaged in the grocery business, in partnership with John Dishman. In April, 1885, Mr. Haden purchased the interest of his partner.....full line of choice groceries. Married Mr. Dishman's daughter, Mary J. He is a Democrat. Mrs. Haden is a member of the Christian Church.

ed., 1886. Warren County. FRANK C. HADEN was born near Bowling Green, Ky.,
in 1857; is the fifth in a family of twelve children, born to James and
Frances (Collins) Haden, and is of Scotch extraction. He was reared on the
farm and attended the country schools. Remaining at home he worked for his
father until twenty-two years of age, and then began for himself. The first
year he farmed, and then learned the miller's trade at the Cedar Grove
Mills, of this county. He continued the milling business for five years,
and then came to Bowling Green, and engaged in the grocery business, in
partnership with John Dishman. In April, 1885, Mr. Haden purchased the
interest of his partner, and continued the business. He is doing a
successful trade, and keeps constantly on hand a full line of choice
groceries. Mr. Haden was united in marriage, April 5, 1878, with Mary J.
Dishman, daughter of John and Laura Dishman, of Warren County. They have
one child, viz.: John. Mr. Haden is a Democrat. Mrs. Haden is a member of
the Christian Church.


In 1880, he was living in Bowling Green, Warren Co KY, p.56b. Frank "Hayden", Miller, age 22, b. KY. Mary his wife, age 18, b. KY. A son John M. age 8 months.
