Wilda Wideman, 84, of Greenville, formerly of Tower Hill and Herrick, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Effingham, IL. She was born February 6, 1927 in Oconee, the daughter of Oscar & Estella Woolard Cloe. Wilda grew up in the Oconee area and had also lived in Herrick. She worked for Wadley Co. for 16 years. She also worked at Green Thumb, Star Bakery, the Tower Hill Restaurant, and was the janitor at Tower Hill School for 3 years. Wilda was also a former member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Stanley Wideman & wife Diane, Bingham, IL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister: Clara Perry, Tower Hill, IL; & brother: George Cloe, Taylorville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Connie Scroggins; son: Marvin Beck; brothers: Bruce Cloe, Sam Cloe, Bob Cloe, Richard Cloe, Bill Cloe, Jack Cloe, & Michael in infancy; and sisters: Carolyn Anderson, Barbara Sisk, & Norma Elliott.
