"Mrs. Pearl Paris, 71, of Manchester Dies Early Monday"
"Mrs. Pearl D. Paris, 71, passed away at 4 a.m. Monday in Delaware County Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
"Mrs. Paris was a member of the Community Congreagational church, of Joppa Shrine and of Jones Mill grange.
"Born June 2, 1886, on a Milo township farm, she was the daughter of William J. and Mary Jane Kaster Davis. She grew up on the family farm, attending the Delaware schools. She taught several years in the rural schools of the county.
"On Jan. 1, 1907, she was united in marriage with Edward J. Paris. Mr. Paris died April 1, 1943.
"Survivors include two sons, Clark D. of East Lansing, Mich. and Clair of Manchester, one daughter, Mrs. Joseph G. (Dorothy) Ludley of Manchester; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marion Brayton of Iowa City; one brother, Harry K.Davis of Des Moines, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Mrs. Ivan Boone and Mrs. Julia Conner.
"Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Shelly Funeral home, with the Rev. W. Thomas Applebee officiating. Burial will be made in Pine View cemetery at Delaware."
