Individual Details
Quin Morton
(Abt 1823 - )
1850 Adair County, MO Census: Quin and Rachel have children: James C. age 6, Nancy J. age 4, and George W. age 8/12 - all born in Missouri. He was a carpenter.
Quin served in the Union Army during the Civil War.
Ancestry has two entries for a Quin Morton from Missouri. One served as a Private, 2nd Battalion, MO State Militia Cavalry. The other is listed as a Lt. Col. of the 23rd Regt, Missouri Infantry. I'm sure this Quin would have been the Private.
I also found a 3rd Quin Morton in Missouri - enlisted as a Private, Co E, 1st Cavalry Regt.
