He is mentioned in the books "Immortal Captives" (which tells the story of the Immortal 600) and "Biographical Roster of the Immortal 600" by Mauriel Joslyn.

Daughter of Thomas Andrew Hagaman and Sarah or Sally Reese. She loved to make quilts and was the first owner of a foot pedal driven sewing machine in Watauga county. She and her family lived near Boone probably on the New River. Married Captain(CSA) Andrew Jackson Critcher May 1, 1868 in Boone, NC.
