He was a member of the American Legion Post #7 and was a member of the VFW, both of Pulaski.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Julia Mabry of Draper, one daughter, Mrs. John (Vickie) Sutton of Draper; three sisters, Dorothy Miles of Radford, Victoria Sarver of Dublin and Cora Fizer of Roanoke; one brother, William F. Mabry of Dublin; three grandchildren, Gary Chinault of Pulaski, Mrs. Tommy T. (Julie) Rose of Christiansburg and Renita Gayle Barrett of Draper, three great grandchildren, Dee Dee Alexander and Barbara Jean Rose, both of Christiansburg, and Brandon Seth Hollis Chinault of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. William Edmonds and the Rev. Ron L. Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
