p.45 John Crutcher on list of Grand Inquisitors for the County for the present year, 1693. Richd. Handcock was to be sworn at the next court but failed to appear and was find 200#'s tobacco.
p.83 28 Dec 1692 Richard Handcock who married the relict of Benjamin Addigton summoned to return an inventory of the estate, this day appeared and also his wife, and made oath that Benjn. Addigton left a very small estate behind him, viz; an inconsiderable parcel of joyner's wear, a small quantity of household goods, and a few joyner's working tools, which the Court accepted for inventory and appraisement of Addington's estate. Richard Handcock doth assume to pay all just debts due from the estte of Benja. Addington.

Mary is not the daughter of James Hancock who named a "Polly" in his will in Orange Co NC, proved May 1816. The will of that Polly's brother Nathan was written 7 April 1816 and mentioned Polly and her little daughter Henrietta. Mary "Polly" Hancock, wife of Mastin Crutcher married in March of 1816 and could not have had a daughter a month later.
