Individual Details
Margaret Johnson
(28 Feb 1820 - 17 Dec 1900)
Margaret was born in Ontario, Canada in 1821 to Edward Johnson and Sarah Brown. When she was 15, the entire family was baptized into the LDS church. The family eventually moved to Nauvoo, which is where she met and married Noah Thomas Guymon.
In 1850, the family moved to Utah and helped to settle Springville. While Noah went on a three year mission, Margaret provided for herself and her family by teaching school and sewing. By the time Noah returned, she owned a home free and clear. Noah and Margaret had seven children together.
Later, the family moved to Fairview and then on to Fountain Green. When Noah decided to move again in his old age to Huntingon, Margaret returned to Springville and lived with her children. While visiting her daughter Margaret Elizabeth, in Driggs, she passed away at 79 years of age. She is buried in Springville, Utah.
