Penelope Edwards' will was written 30 Oct 1808 and presented in court on the 15 of May 1809, Logan Co, KY. She notes she is the widow & relict of Haden Edwards, Senr. She bequeathed 100 #'s each in cash to be paid to her great-granddaughers, Polly & Minerva Edwards, daughters of her grandson Amos Edwards, when they reached age 21. If either did not survive the remaining child would get the total amount; if neither survived the legacy to go to Amos. It was to be paid out of a debt Amos owed to his grandmother. She made no other bequests. Grandsons John P. Oldham and Presley Edwards to be executors. Signed with her mark. Witnessed by Presly Edwards, George Brown, and Geo. Berry.
