Found attached to Ancestry Tree and obviously from someone's research:
Alvin Honeycutt applied for his Civil War pension, application signed 14 Sep 1909 in Morris Co, TX. He was 82 years old, born in Alabama. Had lived in Texas since 1865. His post office was Daingerfield and he had been in the county 40 years. Her served in Company A, Shelby Infantry Battalion.
Son J. B. Honeycutt stated his father enlisted in Company A, Shelby Battalion and served six months and was discharged in 1861 for disabilities. In 1862 he enlisted in Mouton's Brigade, Walker's Division, and served 4 months. He was then detailed and sent to Shreveport, LA to superintend the erection of breastworks and continued in detail duties until the close of the war in 1865.
Letter to the Commissioner of Pensions, 24 Feb 1910, states that Alvin Honeycutt (name not found as A. Honeycutt), private, Company D (not found in Compsny A) 22th Battalion Louisiana Infantry, CSA, enlisted 1 Mar 1863. On the roll of that company 30 April 1863, last roll on file, reported present. No later record found.
