Jones, Ezekiel, son of Daniel and Susannah Jones, was born in Clinton county, Ohio, March 28th, 1813. Was married to Miss Esther Taylor, April 1834, and immediately settled in Henry county, Indiana. In January 1836, he came to the lands on which he lived until December 6th, 1879, when he deceased, aged 66 years, 8 months, and 18 days. He has been a prominent citizen for nearly forty-four years. He united with the M. E. Church in 1841. He was somewhat demonstrative in his religious life, and no man ever enjoyed religious services more than Brother Jones did. During his last illness it was interpreted by him to mean an end to his labors. He was always calm and firm in his Christian faith, being perfectly resigned, closing his eyes and crossing his hands on his breast, and falling asleep in Christ.
