Lucinda died, and Jesse married two years later to Rebecca (Sharp) Bowers, daughter of Edward & Anna Sharp and they had three children:
An infant who died Aug 1877, March M. and Erie E.
Rebecca had previously been married to Jacob Bowers by whom she had thirteen children: L. C., Edward M., Isabella A., Oliver P., Russell, Lora L., wife of William P. Gilmore; Amanda who died in 1859; John C. who died in 1858; an infant who died Aug 1862, Martha who died in 1863, an infant who died in Oct of 1869, and Earl O. who died in 1870. Jacob Bowers died during an accident at a barn-raising, 6 Jun 1873.
