Ann Pledge was a sister to Joseph Woodson the Younger - married to Archer Pledge.

There are disagreements among the Woodson genealogies concerning the Joseph Woodsons. Some genealogies place the children of Joseph and Elizabeth Parsons with an earlier Joseph who married Elizabeth Maddox. Others believe that earlier Joseph, born maybe 1685, was the father of Joseph, born about 1715 who married Elizabeth Parsons, and the grandfather of Joseph Woodson of Genitoe. Actually this works the best with known marriages, etc.
