Elizabeth Garner Ratcliff had a Bible, published 1844, by The Associaion of Friends in America. The fly leaf says it was presented to her by Calvin Mason in 1848.
A sheet of paper inside the Bible states that John and Elizabeth Ratcliff were early settlers in Highland County, Ohio. The Bible came into possession of their grandson, Emerson B. West. He and his wife, Bessie (Kidd) West lived in Clinton Co, OH at the time of Emerson's death and the Bible was given to her sister, Alma (Kidd) Woods. It was placed in the Clinton Co Historical Museum.
Another loose sheet in the Bible: My grandfather, Ira Garner, married Margaret Lightfoot, nov 29, 1818. Their third child, Joseph Garner, was my father. Ira's other children were Elizabeth (died in infancy), Martha, Joseph, Milton, Rebecca, Jane (Aunt Jenny), Martin, Richard, Pleasant B., Mary Matilda, Asa, Charles. So Edom and Rachel were father's first cousins.
